[Fosc] Summer at the creek

Took a noon time walk up the el centro trailhead- surrrounded by bird song. 
Lots of babies fussing. I saw a fledgling wilson's warbler, downy woodpeckers- 
being fed by parents. Heard the call of the pacific slope flycatcher, hutton's 
vireo, warbling vireo, and two new voices in the choir: Black-headed 
grosbeaks which first colonized the restoration area last year and new this year -the 
Swainson's thrush. These all are neotropical migrants, not to mention the song 
sparrows, towhees, hummers, finches, jays, squirrels.

Seems like all is right with the natural world.
