Hi Friends of Sausal Creek,

As many of you know, there were several fires in Dimond Canyon yesterday
afternoon. All were located next to trails and are being investigated
as arson. Last Friday there were two other fires in Dimond Canyon that
the fire investigators think were intentionally set. A huge thank you
to Oakland Fire Department for quickly extinguishing each of these fires.

City of Oakland fire investigators have asked that if you have any
information to share with them--people acting suspicious, or anything
unusual that you have noticed--please call their office at (510)
238-4031. Please leave a message if the investigators aren't
available. Note that this is a non-emergency line. Please call 911 if
it is an emergency.

Thank you for keeping your eyes open for suspicious activities.
