[Fosc] Peregrine Falcons

I think a peregrine may have spent this past week along Sausal Creek/Canon Ave as I heard a keening cry. They may have driven away our resident crows as they have been absent during this time. Love the increase, diversity and changes in the bird population here.

Now, if neighbors could convince their lawn services to convert to brooms instead of the extremely noise and environmental polluting leaf blowers, I might be able to enjoy our local nature.

Sure enough one of the young crash-landed in the road on the bridge. Quick action on the part of Zach D. saved the bid and got it into rehab where it is progressing. The other young is ok and the parents were hunting and trying to lure the fledgling to use its wings. Here is a photo of the adult female trying to tempt it into the air with left-overs. Other photos are from falcon fly-bys the other night. http://www.zenfolio.com/rauzon/e/p859914566
