King Tides are the highest tides of the year, and give us a temporary
preview of the onset of sea level rise.  So head for your favorite spot
by the Bay and check out the water level about 11 AM, to see tide levels
 > 7 feet!   To see  Sausal Creek enter the bay, visit the Fruitvale
Bridge. If you turn left just before the bridge, and then do a U-turn to
park.

Note that low tides are also the lowest during these full-moon periods
in the winter months, this evening's low tide is somewhere around -1.2 feet.

If not today, there are high tides every day for the next few days, then
again in January.
